The Radio Boys (Kev Lawrence, C.Truth) got down to business with New Jersey’s own David Rush before he hit the studio. Dave kept it extra Tide with bleach and we challenged him to a football game. He also talked about: his break with Pitbull while in the hospital, getting to write records for him, attending the Art Institute of Atlanta, video editing, working for Turner TV, having a song used by MTV, doing feel good music, the road to football stardom deterred, the important things he learned from Pit, and almost losing it after meeting Berry Gordy at the House of Blues in LA. David was diagnosed with kidney failure at 25 and was told he had one year to live. He went on medication & dialysis and is going strong until this day. He continues to tour, perform, write music, speak to kids, and appear at kidney walks & fundraisers. Despite all of this, he is in need of a kidney transplant.
